The city of Irvine’s mayor, Christina Shea, will provide Irvine residents an overview of the current state of Irvine in her State of the City Address on Feb. 25. Mayor Shea will outline the successes of 2019 and offer forward-looking commentary on the current year.
The State of the City Address will be held in the Irvine Council Chamber at the Irvine Civic Center, located at 1 Civic Center Drive. The 6 p.m. address will be preceded by a 5 p.m. reception in the lobby of the Council Chamber.
Earlier in the day, the city will host an educational event focused on how Irvine employs sustainability policies to help prevent fires and maintain its open spaces. An exhibit featuring grazing goats will show how the animals work to keep fuel for fires at a minimum.
